Six in Sixty: Na’ama Zisser

Early bird or night owl?

Definitely a night owl.

One routine you swear by?

Always aspiring to work out at least three times a week.
Can’t say I always succeed.

Can’t travel without…?

Earplugs.

Who or what has influenced you most in your career?

Too many to name. Probably having quite an unusual childhood – I grew up in an ultra-Orthodox background but travelled extensively as a kid. I think that gave me a unique entry point into the creative world.

Favourite city to perform in and why?

I have a soft spot for LA, the landscape, topography, climate, light, incredible food, and its proximity to both the sea and the desert.

Guilty pleasure/indulgence?

I’ll always choose a good fresh pastry for breakfast over anything else, zero guilt.

Na’ama Zisser is a composer and CEO of JMI (Jewish Music Institute).
