Young Concert Artists (YCA) has named saxophonist Estel Vivó Casanovas, violinist Claire Wells and Trio Azura as its 2025 Susan Wadsworth International Auditions winners – Trio Azura becomes YCA’s first-ever Ensemble-in-Residence. The three finalists each received $5,000 in laureate prizes.
Selected from over 200 applicants, the new cohort joins YCA’s three-year Jacobs Fellowship, which provides career support including artist management, global performance opportunities, mentorship and professional development. Fellows also participate in the 21st Century Artist Incubator, a 14-month intensive programme offering guidance in audience engagement, digital strategy, and personal branding.
YCA alumni include luminaries such as Emanuel Ax, Julia Bullock, Anne Akiko Meyers, Jeremy Denk, Ray Chen, Anne-Marie McDermott, Pinchas Zukerman, and 2025 Van Cliburn Winner Aristo Sham.
