From next year, the European Union will replace its existing cultural funding programmes with ‘Creative Europe’. Working with a total budget of €1.463bn for 2014-2020, the new scheme represents a budget increase of nine per cent compared to the previous programmes.
Next month arts professionals who want to get to grips with the new programme will gather in Brussels for a networking and information workshop.
Organised by Creatives’ Europe, an initiative of the DaVinci Institute, the ‘Joining Creative Europe’ workshop on 6 and 7 November will help cultural organisations prepare for the new Creative Europe funding programme.
Led by a team of international experts, participants will learn about the new funding mechanisms, gain insights into the application process and develop their own project ideas with colleagues from across Europe.
The team leading the workshop includes Lars Seeberg, director of See@rt; Benita Lipps, executive director of the DaVinci Institute; and Amsterdam-based cultural entrepreneur Frans Brouwer.
The event will give participants a concise overview of Creative Europe and the factors for successful proposals; encourage the development of ideas; and promote networking with future partners. They’ll also receive tailored advice.
Creatives’ Europe aims to connect cultural professionals and organisations across Europe, promoting creativity through collaborations and the exchange of ideas.
