WKCDA’s new dance network

West Kowloon Cultural District Authority (WKCDA) has launched the Asia Network for Dance (AND+) at an event in Hong Kong. The initiative was created by WKCDA and aims to tie together four elements: Asia, networking, dance and connection.

Said WKCDA in a statement: “The network is dedicated to connecting, developing and empowering contemporary practice in dance within Asia, providing a comprehensive platform for knowledge exchange and information sharing, deepening connection within the region and promoting the status of dance in Asia.”

AND+ will be guided by a core group of 14 members. These include representatives from MyDance Alliance (Malaysia), Dancehouse (Australia), Shanghai International Theatre Festival (China), Cloud Gate Theatre (Taiwan), Dance Nucleus (Singapore), Esplanade (Singapore), Critical Path (Australia) and Red Brick Warehouse Number 1 (Japan) amongst others.

WKCDA will create a new Dancehouse facility as part of its Lyric Theatre Complex, due to open in 2023.
