Two full-time mothers have launched their own classical music concert series for babies and toddlers. The Wheels on Debussy offers lunch-time performances that introduce young people to classical music in a relaxed environment.
Each show features a mix of solo performances and audience participation, which gives the chance for children to sing along. Featured musicians are international level artists such as Cellist Matthew Sharp, accordionist Jon Banks and pianist Dominic Harlan.
Hosted on a monthly basis by Louise Knight and Fiona Sharp, whose kids all love classical music, each concert lasts 45 minutes. The next performances are in Reigate on 6 April and Tonbridge on 16 April.
Tickets for adults cost GBP5 (€6.25), while kids get in for GBP3. More information can be found on the group’s Facebook page.
