Singapore Chinese Orchestra announce digital concert

Singapore Chinese Orchestra (SCO) will become the first Chinese orchestra to broadcast an online digital concert when they perform at SCO Concert Hall on 26 November. The Strings Fantasy concert is part of a collaboration with Singapore Press Holdings, whose online Lianhe Zaobao platform will distribute the e-ticketed event.

The programme includes pieces by Chinese composers Zhao Ji Ping (Guo Feng,
Melody of the Secluded Orchid and Disillusioned Dreams)  and Chen Gang (The Sun Shines on Tashkurghan), as well as Pablo de Sarasate’s Carmen Fantasy and a symphonic poem from Singapore artist Tan Swie Hian and composer Law Wai Lun.

SCO will be led by music director Tsung Yeh and joined by award-winning violinist Lu Siqing and acclaimed cellist Qin Li-Wei. The concert will be filmed in HD, with digital tickets priced at SGD10 (€7). Singapore audiences will be able to see the full programme performed in person at SCO on 25 and 26 November at SCO Concert Hall.
