Signings – Conductors Oct 25

James Brown Management has welcomed conductors Benjamin Bayl and Gábor Káli for worldwide general management. Káli, a Nestlé and Salzburg Festival Young Conductor’s Award winner, has impressed audiences at the Hamburg Elbphilharmonie, Philharmonie de Paris and Budapest’s Béla Bartók National Concert Hall; his recent and upcoming engagements include appearances with Queensland Symphony Orchestra and NDR RadioPhilharmonie. Bayl, celebrated for his versatility across symphonic, operatic and period-instrument repertoire, makes debuts this season at Händel Festival Halle, Opera Wrocławska and Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra, and returns to Concerto Köln, Staatsoper Stuttgart, and the Hungarian National Philharmonic Orchestra.

IMG Artists has welcomed conductor Daniela Candillari for general management. In her fourth season as Principal Conductor of Opera Theatre of Saint Louis, she led the world premiere of This House and conducted Nina Shekhar’s Accordion Concerto with the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra. This season includes debuts with Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Canadian Opera Company, London Philharmonic, and Liverpool Philharmonic. An accomplished composer, Candillari has received commissions from the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, New York Philharmonic, and New York City Ballet.

David Danzmayr has signed with HarrisonParrott for worldwide general management. Currently Music Director of the Oregon Symphony and of the ProMusica Chamber Orchestra, the Austrian conductor works internationally throughout North America and Europe. Highlights of this season include performances with Joshua Bell, Joyce Yang, Colin Currie and Gil Shaham, alongside the world premiere of David Schiff’s new jazz piano concerto with pianist Darrell Grant and the Oregon Symphony. He also appears with orchestras including the Seattle, St Louis and City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra.

Conductor Marco Guidarini has signed with TACT Artists Management. Guidarini brings exceptional experience across major opera houses, including the Metropolitan Opera, Teatro alla Scala, Deutsche Oper Berlin and Teatro Colón. A former Music Director of the Orchestre Philharmonique de Nice, he continues to maintain a busy international schedule in both operatic and symphonic repertoire.

Askonas Holt has welcomed conductor Sora Elisabeth Lee for worldwide general management. Her 2025–26 season includes debuts at Dutch National Opera (Requiem for Mariza), Opéra de Lausanne (Le Nain), Opéra de Toulon (Don Giovanni), and a concert with Opera North. In summer 2026, she succeeds Evan Rogister as Music Director of the Orchestre des Jeunes de la Méditerranée at Festival d’Aix-en-Provence.

Intermusica New York has signed conductor Diego Matheuz for worldwide general management. Rising from Venezuela’s El Sistema, Matheuz has held posts including Principal Conductor of Teatro La Fenice and Principal Guest Conductor of Orchestra Mozart, Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, and the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra. Highlights of his 2025–26 season include his subscription debut with the New York Philharmonic and returns to Barcelona’s Gran Teatre del Liceu (L’elisir d’amore) and Teatro Petruzzelli for (Don Carlo).

Conductor Katharina Morin has signed with TACT Artist Management for general management. A Third Prize winner at La Maestra 2024 and First Prize winner of the Deutscher Preis für Chordirigieren, she is currently conductor at the Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe and assistant to the General Music Director. This season, she debuts with the Nordwestdeutsche Philharmonie Herford, Philharmonie Südwestfalen, Orquesta de Córdoba, Orchestre Pasdeloup, and MDR-Chor. 

IMG Artists has welcomed opera director Christopher Alden to its roster for general management. A veteran of more than 50 years directing operas worldwide, Alden’s recent and upcoming projects include a new production of Don Pasquale for the 50th anniversary of Opera Theatre of St Louis, a revival of his Olivier Award-winning Partenope at English National Opera, and a revival of Rigoletto for the Canadian Opera Company.
