Play along with Les Talens Lyriques – for free

The NomadPlay music education app – featuring the music of Les Talens Lyriques – is free for anyone to try until the end of the month. The app allows budding musicians to play along with the orchestra.

NomadPlay is based on pre-recorded pieces of music. The user can then perform with the group – at a variety of tempos – muting individual instruments if they choose. The result is an experience that feels like you are actually playing with the orchestra.

In addition to the NomadPlay’s free offer (until 31 May), LTL has recently added some new repertoire to the app, including Bach’s Cantatas.

“A harpsichordist naturally frequents the music of Bach,” noted Rousset. “One could devote a lifetime to his harpsichord compositions, and they are part of my everyday agenda. With time, one gains a very intimate and essential understanding of them.”

There are also plans to release a selection of arias for the app, from works by Gluck, Purcell and Handel among others. The proposed Handel arias include Lascia ch’io pianga, Ombra mai fu, Ev’ry valley and Scherza infida.

NomadPlay is available on Android and iPhone, and comes with English, French and German language options.
