Plácido Domingo to celebrate 50 years with San Francisco Opera

Plácido Domingo will celebrate the 50th anniversary of his first performance with San Francisco Opera with a special concert this October.

On 6 October Domingo will give a performance with San Francisco Opera Orchestra at War Memorial Opera House. The programme has yet to be announced, but is likely to include excerpts from a number of his most famous roles.

The Spanish tenor-turned-baritone has now appeared in over 150 roles, winning 11 Grammy awards along the way. He’s also featured in over 25 SFO productions and is a firm favourite with the San Francisco audience.

Tickets start at USD117 (€103), while VIP ticket buyers will receive a commemorative memento signed by Domingo.
