Oxford University Press announces new head of repertoire promotion

OUP has announced the appointment of Jenny Wegg to the position of Head of Repertoire promotion in its music department. Wegg was previously senior promotion manager at Music Sales, where she worked for nearly seven years until summer 2015, managing a roster of composers, including Peter Maxwell Davies, John Tavener and Tarik O’Regan. Prior to that, she worked as classical music press relations manager at Southbank Centre. Most recently, Wegg has worked as a freelance consultant, project managing the Philharmonia Orchestra’s 70th Anniversary Exhibition, and in a consultant capacity with a number of composers.
Ben Selby, director of Music Publishing at OUP, said: ‘We are delighted to be welcoming Jenny to OUP. Her breadth of experience will provide a strong foundation as we build further the profile of the OUP catalogue, contemporary and legacy.’
Added Wegg:  ‘I’m very much looking forward to working with the team at OUP and its acclaimed composers. With the legacy of such a great catalogue, and ambitious plans for the future, it’s sure to be an exciting time ahead.’
OUP publishes works by some of the most significant composers of the 20th and 21st centuries, with a catalogue that includes a broad range of choral, orchestral, and chamber music.
