RPS Drummond Lockyer Fund for Dance announces new funding

The Royal Philharmonic Society (RPS)’s Drummond Lockyer Fund for Dance, set up to help composers and choreographers bring new works to the UK stage, has announced two funding streams this year: “Performance” and “Research and Development” (R&D). The “Performance” stream will fund a project expected to reach the UK stage within two years of the grant benign confirmed, while the newly introduced “R&D” stream is designed for a choreographer and composer who have never brought work to the stage together before.

The grants total £20,000 for the “Performance” stream and £15,000 for the “R&D” stream, which are expected to be shared by up to three recipients in both categories.

Perform Europe has launched an Open Call for Cross-Border Performing Arts Collaboration 

The call invites partnerships to propose innovative touring ideas that can generate real change, with a focus on inclusion and diversity and/or the fight against climate change. Projects by and with underrepresented areas or groups will receive particular attention. 

Applicants can apply for grants in three categories: €12,000, €32,000 or €60,000, with the deadline for applications set for 31 March. For more information, visit performeurope.eu/open-call/


Chamber Music America (CMA) is now accepting applications for its New Jazz Works programme, continuing its tradition of supporting jazz innovation 

Since 2000, CMA has awarded 277 original jazz works grants, fostering creativity and excellence in the genre. The programme provides grants to jazz ensembles across the US, its territories and Indian country, facilitating the creation, performance and recording of new jazz compositions. The new work may be composed by the ensemble leader or a member of the ensemble/collective.
