New Cornelius work to have Melbourne premiere

Playwright Patricia Cornelius’ new work Savages will have its premiere at Melbourne venue fortyfivedownstairs on 16 August.

The play tracks a boys’ holiday that’s quickly soured by anger and bitterness, tackling issues of masculinity and misogyny.

Director Susie Dee said: ‘Patricia is unafraid to tackle subjects that are taboo or difficult – she is a deep thinker who wears her heart on her sleeve and speaks her mind with candour and fluidity.’
