South Africa’s leading choral group, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, will perform at the closing ceremony of the Edinburgh International Culture Summit.
It’s the second Edinburgh engagement for the group this summer, which will also perform at the Edinburgh International Festival alongside dancers from The Royal Ballet and Rambert in a new dance work, INALA.

Taking place from 10-12 August, the Edinburgh International Culture Summit will see arts leaders and experts from around the world gather for a programme of discussions, presentations and performances.
Speakers include Nandi Mandela, business leader and granddaughter of Nelson Mandela; and Irina Bokova, director general of UNESCO.
Kent Larson, director of the MIT Media Lab, will deliver a presentation on the latest tools and templates to analyse urban environments, whilst French-Vietnamese choreographer and writer Ea Sola will present a reflection on her work.
The theme for this year’s summit is ‘Culture – A Currency of Trust’. Full programme details can be found here.
