Inside WestK Performing Arts Centre (WestK PAC)

Scheduled to open in 2027, the new WestK Performing Arts Centre (WestK PAC) aims to become a flagship venue for dance and theatre in Asia. Designed as a major platform for international cultural exchange, the WestK PAC will host premier global performances while championing the creation of ground-breaking original works, elevating Hong Kong’s status on the world stage.

Designed by UNStudio with AD+RG, the WestK PAC will be the district’s largest performing arts venue, with facilities for dance, theatre and collaboration across disciplines.

The centre will house a 1,450-seat Grand Theatre, a 600-seat Medium Theatre and a 270-seat Studio Theatre, alongside The Hall, which seats 148. These theatres will have distinct identities suited to different performance needs, within a unified architectural design.

WestK PAC will be equipped with world-class supporting infrastructure designed specifically for creators and for incubating new work. Conceived as an international creative laboratory, it features a dedicated Dancehouse, large rehearsal rooms, multipurpose spaces and a Resident Company Centre.

This expansion will bring WestK’s total number of performance venues to 10, with a combined capacity
of over 4,500 seats, realising WestK’s vision of developing Hong Kong’s largest and most diverse theatre hub, ultimately solidifying the city’s position as a leading global cultural destination.
