Arts management company Askonas Holt has appointed Terry Shew to its Board of Directors. Shew, who joined the company in 2009 and was made an Associate Director in 2018, will also co-head the company’s Conductors and Instrumentalists division alongside current Director Celia Willis. Shew’s appointment follows recent Associate Director promotions for Emma Beecham, Sorcha Coller, Dominic Domingo and Henry Lindsay.

Bristol Beacon has announced that Simon Wales will be taking over as its new Chief Executive. This follows the announcement that current Chief Executive Louise Mitchell will be stepping down this summer after 12 years in the role. Wales comes from an arts and cultural background and is currently Chief Executive of Stowe House Preservation Trust, where he has created a public arts programme based at Stowe School.

Edinburgh International Festival has appointed two new members to its management team. Nicolas Zekulin leaves his role as General Manager of the Hebrides Ensemble to become the new Head of Music Programme, while the new Head of Artistic Management, Paul Sharp, joins from Directors UK where he represented screen directors.
