Hong Kong Ballet offers classes, shows and talks for those stuck at home

Hong Kong Ballet (HKB) has announced a free online interactive ballet programme. With performances cancelled and offices and schools closed, HKBALLET@HOME will give people the chance to watch and take part in dance from their own homes.

Three new shows will be posted each week on Facebook. These include a talk show with artistic director Septime Webre titled Ballet Blahblahblah; Ballerina Chef, where HKB dancers share recipes; Barre Classes Online with company dancers on Wednesdays; and Flashback Fridays, which will showcase archive HKB performances.

Guests booked for Ballet Blahblahblah include Dorothée Gilbert (etoile, Paris Opera Ballet), Kondo Ako (principal artist, The Australian Ballet, Osiel Gouneo (principal dancer, Bavarian State Ballet) and Brazilian ballet star Marcelo Gomes.
