Mamma Mia! The Party (MMTP) is transferring to the O2 in London. An immersive theatre and dining experience, it opens in spring 2019 after a successful three-year run in Stockholm.
The show puts audiences in Nikos’ Taverna, as featured in the film (and later musical) Mamma Mia! Each night will seat 500, with Mediterranean themed food and drink served throughout. There is even space for audiences to join in with the dancing.
“We have long admired the O2 and the huge entertainment success it has become under the ownership and management of AEG,” said ABBA member and MMTP producer Björn Ulvaeus. “We believe bringing MMTP to the O2 will add to this already vibrant cultural destination and provide the perfect location for our exciting new show.”
MMTP opened in Stockholm in January 2016 and has been sold out ever since. Tickets for the O2 production will go on sale later this year.
