The European Commission (EC) has put out a call for participants in a new programme titled Voices of Culture and Heritage. The project ties in with the 2018 European Year of Cultural Heritage, which aims to unite the 28 nations of the European Union through shared artistic experiences.
In total 30 participant organisations will be picked to take part in six discussion sessions held in Brussels across 2017-18. The dialogue and debate created through these sessions will help inform future European Commission cultural programmes.
Selections are based on the following criteria:
- The content and breadth of the organisation’s cultural heritage work
- The experience of the organisation in cultural heritage representation and outreach at the European level
- The organisation’s plans for the 2018 European Year of Cultural Heritage
Travel, hotel and food expenses will be covered by the EC, and the deadline for applications is 20 February 2017.
