h Foundation announces Emerging Creatives 2019 cohort

h Club, the club in Convent Garden, London, for creatives working in the arts, has announced a new programme for 21-35-year-olds looking to progress in their careers.

Titled Emerging Creatives, its goal is to discover, nurture and showcase the next generation of creative leaders in the UK. The project is run by h Club’s h Foundation, which launched in 2014 and has helped over 2,000 young people by providing opportunities to access, explore and excel in the creative industries.

Hannah Hedges from h Foundation said: “All to often talented young people go unrecognised as they are not given the opportunity to progress their career. We hope to give this year’s programme the chance to reach their full potential with the support and guidance of an experience group of mentors and professional coaches.”

h Foundation will work with five creatives this year: filmmaker Celine Cotran; director, visual producer and filmmaker Souvid Datta; designer Harry Grundy; composer and multi-instrumentalist Stefano Fasce; and theatre director Camilla Gürtler. Over the next year h Foundation will help them create original work and provide the space and support they need to grow as an artist.

In addition, they each receive a GBP3,000 (€3,500) grant towards their project, a one-year h Club membership, access to masterclasses and an industry mentor.
