Events.com, a technology platform for live events, has completed the acquisition of Operabase, the performing arts discovery, casting and data platform operated by Copenhagen-based Arts Consolidated ApS.
Founded in 1996, Operabase has spent 30 years building and maintaining a verified archive of more than one million productions in 31 languages, used by performing arts organisations, venues, agencies, artists and audiences worldwide for casting, season planning and professional discovery. Events.com has said it is committed to continuing investment in the platform and expanding its capabilities, with the Operabase team continuing to operate from Copenhagen.
Planned developments include expanded multilingual services, with an Arabic-language version of the platform in development, alongside further investment in discovery, casting intelligence, archival research, artist development and audience engagement tools.
