DeVos Institute opens applications for 2026–28 Global Executive Arts Management Fellowship
The DeVos Institute of Arts Management has announced its call for applications for its 2026–28 Global Executive Fellowship, designed to support senior leaders in arts, culture, heritage and humanities organisations worldwide. The programme offers intensive, three-year professional development for executives ready to challenge assumptions, develop rigorous strategies, and address pressing organisational and sector-wide challenges.
Led by DeVos Institute Founder Michael Kaiser and President Brett Egan, the fellowship provides intensive, immersive training in strategic planning, leadership, fundraising, marketing, board governance, human resources, and financial planning, alongside peer learning, networking, and time for reflection.
Fellows engage with the programme through the lens of their current organisations, developing strategies directly applicable to their work and addressing key challenges facing their fields.Each year, between five and seven fellows are selected through a competitive process, joining a three-week summer residency in the United States, with subsequent engagement across three consecutive years. The programme covers travel, accommodation, living expenses and visa sponsorship, making it fully subsidised for all participants.
The Fellowship is designed for CEOs, Executive Directors, General Managers, and those in similar roles with strategic responsibilities across core functions. Applicants must be in full-time, permanent leadership positions at organisations with at least three full-time staff, three years of programming history, and an operating budget of $250,000/€220,000 or more.
