The Concours de Genève has awarded the CHF20,000 first prize in its piano discipline to 18-year-old South Korean musician Ji-Yeong Mun.
Second prize went to 27-year-old Pallavi Mahidhara, from the US, Honggi Kim from South Korea won third prize.
During the final on 2 December at Geneva’s Victoria Hall, the finalists performed with the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, conducted by Alexander Shelley.
Prizewinners benefit from two full years of services from the ProMusica Genève concert agency, giving them the opportunity to take their first steps on the Swiss and international musical scene.
