Colour clash at German summer festival

Pop collides with the avant-garde at this year’s International Summer Festival, taking place from 7-25 August at Hamburg venue Kampnagel.

In his first year as artistic director, András Siebold has programmed five world premieres and nine German premieres, all developed in collaboration with artists working on the boundaries of choreography, performance, sculpture and music.

The festival features work from Parisian choreographer Olivier Dubois, British star Wayne McGregor, American composer Shara Worden and the Lebanese art duo Rabih Mroué, and Belgian artist Miet Warlop.
