Leading conductor Marin Alsop has joined Askonas Holt for management in Europe, Asia and Australasia. This season she will make history when she becomes the first US-born woman to conduct the Berlin Philharmonic when they perform the world premiere of a new commission by Finnish composer Outi Tarkiainen. She will be managed by Jo Fry and Dora Michael, in collaboration with Tom Cunningham as General Manager at Opus 3 Artists.
Kedrick Armstrong has joined Kirshbaum Associates for worldwide representation. The conductor, who recently joined the Oakland Symphony as its ninth Music Director and is also the Creative Partner and Principal conductor of the Knox-Galesburg Symphony, is known for advocating for greater inclusion of underrepresented voices in classical music.
Conductor Nicholas Chalmers has joined James Brown Management for general management. Chalmers holds multiple roles including Senior Associate Artist of the Royal Ballet and Opera.
Elim Chan has joined Intermusica for worldwide general management. Chan, who became the first female winner of the Donatella Flick Conducting Competition in 2014, has a busy 2024-25 season. Chan will tour with the Mahler Chamber Orchestra and return to conduct a number of leading orchestras including the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, San Francisco Symphony and Hong Kong Philharmonic. She will also debut with the Pittsburgh Symphony, Orchestre philharmonique de Radio France, Orchestre de la Suisse Romande and NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchester.
Conductor Michael Francis has joined Arabella Arts for general management. Francis is
currently in his sixth season as Chief Conductor of Deutsche Staatsphilharmonie Rheinland-Pfalz and in his tenth season as Music Director of The Florida Orchestra. He is also Music Director of the Mainly Mozart Festival.
Conductor and composer Sean Mayes has joined Opus 3 Artists for worldwide general management. Toronto-born Mayes is currently the Worldwide Music Supervisor for Disney’s The Lion King and Music Supervisor and Co-Orchestrator for the Broadway-bound ALI: The Musical, due to premiere at the Nederlander Theater in Chicago next Spring. Last season, he conducted the world premiere of his composition Aportia Chryptch: A Black Opera for Portia White, a work he composed and orchestrated alongside Canadian multidisciplinary artist HAUI.
