Chamber Music Society opens applications for Bowers Program

The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center is now accepting applications for the Bowers Program. Open to both individuals and ensembles from around the world, the programme offers a fully immersive experience. Selected artists will perform alongside established CMS musicians in New York and on national and international tours, while also engaging in CMS education and community initiatives. Participants benefit from significant visibility through CMS’s digital platforms, including concert streaming and national radio and television broadcasts.

Directed by CMS Artistic Directors David Finckel and Wu Han, the Bowers Program is known for its rigorous selection process. A distinguished jury of CMS artists and artistic administrators carefully evaluates each applicant.

Formerly known as CMS Two, the programme has launched the careers of some of today’s most celebrated young musicians and ensembles, including Hilary Hahn, Alisa Weilerstein and the Danish String Quartet, since its inception in 1994.

The deadline for applications is 5 p.m. ET on
26 September 2025. For more information,
