Chamber Music Kelowna announces 2019-20 season

British Colombia’s Chamber Music Kelowna has announced its 2019-20 season. In celebration of the 40th anniversary of the community-focused ensemble, a full Beethoven programme will be performed to honour the German composer’s 250th birthday. Works by Canadian-Latvian composer Imant Raminsh will also be performed in the 2019-20 season.

In their season-opening concert in October, The Borealis Quartet will be joined by pianist Arnold Draper at the Mary Irwin Theatre where they will perform two piano quintets. Also on the bill is JUNO and two-time Grammy Award winners, St. Lawrence String Quartet.

2019 Grammy Award-winner violinist James Ehnes, and long-time collaborator pianist Andrew Armstrong, will perform a Beethoven programme in January 2020. While the April season finale will feature the Montrose Trio, which is made up of pianist Jon Kimura Parker, violinist Martin Beaver and cellist Clive Greensmith.
