The Azrieli Music, Arts and Culture Centre (AMACC) has opened its annual global call for proposals for the Azrieli Music Prizes Performance Fund (AMP-PF). The fund invites professional music ensembles worldwide to apply for support to prepare and present public performances of AMP-winning works.
Grants between CAD $5,000 and CAD $25,000 are available to help cover costs such as score and parts rental, soloist fees, extra rehearsal time, concert promotion and AMP Laureate participation.
“We know that offering support to both the composers and to orchestras, after a composition has its world premiere, is key to the new work’s future success,” said Dr. Sharon Azrieli, CQ, who created the prizes in 2014 for the Azrieli Foundation. Proposals must include at least one of the 14 eligible AMP-winning works. These span chamber, choral and orchestral repertoire. To date, AMP-PF has supported dozens of concerts in cities including Berlin, Buenos Aires, Madrid, Santa Barbara, Tel Aviv, Toronto, Vancouver and Warsaw. The Azrieli Music Prizes offer four prize packages valued at CAD $200,000 each, making AMP the top competition of its kind in Canada and among the most significant globally. Past Laureates include Jordan Nobles, Yair Klartag, Josef Bardanashvili, Iman Habibi, Keiko Devaux and Avner Dorman.
Applications must be submitted online by 4 July 2025. Full guidelines and the list of eligible works are available at azrielifoundation.org/amp/the-azrieli-performance-fund/
