Latest artist management signings

Rayfield Allied management has announced a string of new signings this month: the Russian chamber group Borodin Quartet; violinist and conductor Augustin Dumay; the British composer Michael Berkeley; Australian soprano Rachel Durkin; the American tenor Carl Tanner; and the Spanish mezzo-soprano Ana Ibarra.

Intermusica has signed British conductor John Wilson for worldwide management. Wilson has worked with the Philharmonia Orchestra, the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, the BBC Symphony and the Hallé. Other new signings at the agency include: French composer Thierry Escaich, French conductor Emmanuel Krivine, German conductor Ingo Metzmacher and Mexican conductor Carlos Miguel Prieto.

IMG Artists has signed Chinese conductor Yu Lu for general management. A graduate of the Central Conservatory of Music in China, Lu has conducted the Seiji Ozawa Academy Orchestra and the Saito Kinen Festival Orchestra, and made his European debut with Amsterdam’s Royal Concertgebouw in 2012.

Ingpen and Williams will take on the worldwide management of the British conductor and composer, Ryan Wigglesworth (pictured). Wigglesworth is currently composer in residence for the English National Opera and the Daniel R Lewis Composer Fellow for the Cleveland Orchestra.

Ikon Arts Management has announced several new additions to its roster: the Romanian pianist Alexandra Dariescu (recently shortlisted for the Arts & Culture Woman of the Future award); the vocal ensembles Ex Cathedra and Vive; and conductors Jason Lai, Dominic Peckham and Nicolae Moldoveanu.

The Zurich-based Artists Management Company has announced that Ettore F Volontieri is to join the company as head of the artists management department. Volontieri has acted as the general manager of distinguished conductors such as Gianandrea Noseda over his 25-year career, and will join the company in January 2014.
