Applications open for APAP’s 2026 UP NEXT! Artist Pitch Session

The Association of Performing Arts Professionals (APAP) has opened applications for its 2026 UP NEXT! Artist Pitch Session, set to take place during the APAP|NYC
2026 Conference on 9 January 2026 at the New York Hilton Midtown.

The session showcases innovative new projects from artists and companies based in the US and abroad, offering a unique platform to pitch tour-ready works to an audience of presenters and producers. Applications must focus on a single, specific project that is either premiering after 1 January 2025, or has already premiered but is ready for
US touring during the 2026–27 season.

Up to 12 projects will be selected by a panel of APAP members, staff and industry professionals, with an emphasis on diversity, artistic range and broad audience interest. Selected applicants will present a three-minute pitch (with optional slides or a 60-second video) followed by a brief Q&A.

Artists, agents, producers and managers are encouraged to apply. APAP membership is not required to apply but will be required if selected. Presenters must also attend a technical rehearsal prior to the event.

Applications close at 11:59 p.m. EDT on 8 August 2025.
