The Association of Performing Arts Professionals (APAP) has launched a new storytelling initiative as part of its 70th anniversary, inviting performing arts professionals to submit story ideas highlighting specific projects or initiatives.
Titled Welcoming the New, Becoming the Next, the video series will feature selected contributors reflecting on work that demonstrates innovation, collaboration or transformation within the sector. Submissions must focus on a single programme or initiative rather than a general overview or proposal.
Story ideas should align with one of four anniversary impact areas identified by APAP: Arts & Health, Arts & Workforce Development, Arts & Civic Trust and Arts & Tech.
Up to eight participants will be selected to develop and record their stories with the support of a storytelling coach. Selected contributors will receive a $500 honorarium and complimentary registration to APAP|NYC 2027.
The deadline for submissions is 30 April 2026.
