IAM September 2026
Welcome to the September issue of International Arts Manager. This month, our cover feature previews the Hong Kong Performing Arts Expo (HKPAX), which returns from 9 to 13 October.
That sense of Hong Kong as a meeting point continues in our feature on WestK, which drew more than 17 million visitors in 2025 and hosts the AAPPAC Annual Conference from 6 to 9 October, as the association marks its 30th anniversary. With the WestK Performing Arts Centre due to open in 2027, we visit the current venues and look at what the district is building towards.

In News the pressure on the infrastructure that supports touring and audience development is as clear as ever. A UK Government report sets out the continuing post-Brexit cost to the touring sector, while the voluntary liquidation of The Audience Agency removes a source of research and audience development the sector has drawn on for 14 years.
