100 Words for Snow, Tatty Hennessy’s acclaimed play about environmental destruction and the power of women, is heading on a UK tour.
The play originally debuted at VAULT Festival in March 2018, winning an Origin’s Award at the festival as well as Arcola Theatre’s Heretic Voices Award. In it, a young woman named Rory takes a coming-of-age journey to the North Pole to collect her father’s ashes.
Observed Hennessy, “[100 Words for Snow] looks at our relationship with the planet, the delicate interconnectedness of nature and our impact on the earth, sadly all the more relevant in the wake of the UN’s stark and startling climate change report.”
100 Words for Snow is directed by Lucy Jane Atkinson and performed by Gemma Barnett. The tour runs from 4 February – 30 March with stops in Coventry, Guildford, Aldeburgh, Havant, Norwich and Newport, before spending three weeks at Trafalgar Studios in London.
