The Sydney Symphony Orchestra has renewed its sponsorship deal with Emirates from next year, with 2014 marking 12 years of collaboration between the orchestra and the airline.
SSO managing director Rory Jeffes said: ‘Like Emirates, the SSO prides itself on the quality of our customer service, the highest standards, and the excitement of a wonderful experience. Our partnership with one of the world’s greatest airlines will continue to help the SSO present the very best live symphonic experience to the widest possible audience, both at our home at the Sydney Opera House and throughout the world.’
He added: ‘I am delighted with the renewal of our partnership, and thank Emirates for their vision and continued support of the SSO.’
The three-year renewal will mean that Emirates will continue as naming sponsor of the SSO’s Emirates Metro Series, while customers flying on the airline will be able to watch SSO concerts on the Emirates in-flight entertainment system.
Barry Brown, Emirates divisional senior vice president, commercial operations, East said: ‘Emirates considers its role as principal partner of the SSO to be an enormously valuable component of its extensive sponsorship portfolio and its business activity.’
‘This partnership is about connecting with our customers. We are dedicated to the growth of arts and culture in Australia, and the SSO allows us to showcase the Emirates brand to music lovers around the country and the world, from its home at the Sydney Opera House.’
