This month’s diarist CEO and Artistic Director of Icelandic Opera Steinunn Birna Ragnarsdóttir shares her “Six in Sixty”
- Early bird or night owl?
Definitely a much too early a bird, but it has a definite advantage when it comes to getting the job done. - Can’t travel without…?
My own pillow… Call me a princess, but it can save the most uncomfortable beds. - One routine you swear by?
Playing piano in the wee hours of the morning before everyone wakes up. Those are my “sacred” moments. Another routine is writing one email a day without a specific purpose except to keep in touch with someone who has made a difference in my life. - Favourite city and why?
New York, because it’s a never-ending love affair and adventure. - Who or what has influenced you most in your career?
All the brilliant people I have been fortunate enough to come into contact with during my professional life that are so generous and wise. I am very lucky to belong to such a great network. - Guilty pleasure/indulgence?
Where should I start? Dancing in the kitchen, eating ice cream and listening to R&B, preferably all at once, comes to mind, but the list is long, trust me!
