Networking group she said.so has launched a new mentorship programme. she.grows will pair up 50 mentees with 50 mentors from September 2018 to March 2019.
Mentees and mentors will benefit from monthly meetings, professional development events and a mentorship manager. In addition to a launch event in late September, programmes include a CV workshop, a session on mental health and programmes covering unconscious bias and sexual harassment.
The programme was successfully piloted last year with 44 people taking part. Women working for companies like Sony ATV, Deezer, Live Nation, Boiler Room, Universal Music, Sentric MusicManners McDade, MTV, Songkick, and Warner Music Group were among the mentors and mentees.
“We learnt so much from the pilot last year with 22 pairs of mentors and mentees, from right across all sectors of the music industry,” said programme co-founder Harriet Moss. “It was a brilliant experience and many of our original pairs are still together and regularly meeting up to continue supporting each other.”
