New version of Six Pianos allows audiences to get involved

Today marks the release of a very unusual interpretation of Steve Reich’s Six Pianos.

Internationally acclaimed pianists Gregor Schwellenbach, Hauschka, Erol Sarp, Daniel Brandt, Paul Frick and John Kameel Farah were all involved in the unique project.

Each pianist has performed his own part on a different grand piano, in his specific studio equipment, in different parts of Germany, and then passed on the recording to the next one.

Listeners can now experience the piece individually with an online tool that allows you to choose each ‘piano’ and travel from studio to studio with each composer.
