Western Arts Alliance (WAA), has announced a new grant for Indigenous artists. The Advancing Indigenous Performance (AIP) Artists Travel Assistance Fund will provide subsidies for activities that help artists develop their touring networks.
Said WAA in a statement: “The Artists Travel Assistance Fund provides subsidies for eligible performing artists through the reimbursement of travel costs associated with activities intended to prepare them for the touring of their work.”
Grants can be used for travel, accommodations, per diem, and other associated expenses. The grant limit is USD1,500 (€1,300) for national and USD2,500 for international travel. For groups, the limit for both is USD4,000. It is available to US-based applicants only.
The application process opened on 18 November and closes on 7 December. Full guidelines can be found through WAA’s website.
