Networking platform links music community

Hello Stage, a brand new networking platform launched this month, promises to connect the classical music world.

Developed by Bernhard Kerres, former artistic director and CEO of the Wiener Konzerthaus, the innovative online database links musicians and ensembles with managers and promoters.

The Hello Stage micro-site allows musicians and ensembles to create an online profile that will be viewable by promoters who are looking to book performers, as well as to the general public. Turkish pianists Ferhan and Ferzan Önder are already members.

Promoters can use the platform to search for musicians according to repertoire and previous experience. Kerres told IAM: ‘A promoter can look up who has played Beethoven’s 5th Piano Concerto with whom, when and where. They can then go on the page of the musician and find all the necessary information from bio to pictures and videos. It makes looking for artists much easier and more efficient.’

Meanwhile, artist managers can manage their artists’ entire online presence, from news to biography updates, through the Hello Stage network.

All the data is fed into a comprehensive database for classical music, allowing promoters to easily find exactly the right type of artist for their concerts and to discover new talent.

It’s free to create a profile on Hello Stage until the end of November, after which point a variety of packages will be available.
