Modern classical and electronic music specialists Manners McDade have appointed Harriet Moss (pictured above with Catherine Manners, centre) as managing director. Moss, who is just 27-years-old, moves up from her position as global creative manager to become the company’s youngest ever MD.

Since 2014 Moss has overseen the company’s creative strategy across sync, A&R and creative services. Her background is in PR, sync and brand-building, working with artists such as Max Richter, Nils Frahm, Ben Frost and These New Puritans. She is also creative director for Manners McDade’s in-house label Cognitive Shift Recordings.
Manners McDade founder Catherine Manners commented: “I never thought I would find someone who I could trust so implicitly with my business – but Harriet Moss is an extraordinary young woman and I’m incredibly proud of her.”
In addition to her time at Manners McDade, Moss has previously worked for communications agency WIldKat PR. She also acts as London director for volunteer-powered mentoring group shesaid.so, a network of more than 2,500 women who benefit from regular events and collaborations with organisations like Boiler Room, Spotify, Live Nation and Bestivall; hosts Soho Radio’s Soho Classical show; is a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts; was recognised on both the 2017 and 2018 Music Industry Alternative Power 100 Lists; and sat on the jury at Classical:NEXT 2018 – where she could also be seen spinning records at the Thursday night Club Showcase. Outside of work she plays the piano, cello and bass guitar.
Moss is joined by two other additions to the company: music and composer producer Jenna Fentimen, and creative and sync executive Clare Everson. Fentimen previously worked at music supervision company Wake The Town, while Everson moves over from Warner Music UK.
Manners McDade provide composer management, music publishing, sync and creative services, specialising in new classical and electronic music. Its label Cognitive Shift Recordings releases contemporary classical music in partnership with One Little Indian Records. As for its publishing roster, recent releases include All Melody by Nils Frahm and Resolve by Poppy Ackroyd.
The company also represents composers of film and television scores, with Happy Valley (Ben Foster), First Dates (Miguel D’Olivera) and The Confessions of Thomas Quick (Nainita Desai) among its most notable projects. Jessica Jones and Benedict Taylor are the latest additions to its roster.
