Superstar musicians can sometimes seem a bit cut off from the rest of us – the only time we see them is when they are on an elevated stage, playing music while we look up in awe at their ability.
But now Lang Lang is breaking down that barrier, giving young musicians and fans the chance to put their questions to him. The question and answer session is part of a matinee recital and conversation at Royal Albert Hall (RAH) on 17 April.
Questions posted so far include ‘What do you do to avoid repetitive strain injuries when you practice?’, ‘How did you fall in love with music?’ and, ‘Do you compose your own music?’
Lang Lang will also talk about his experiences as a young Pianist, his work at Lang Lang International Foundation and his life outside of music. After the Q&A RAH will post the questions and Lang Lang’s answers on its website.
To send Lang Lang a question tweet to @RoyalAlbertHall using the hashtag #AskLangLang. You can also submit questions through the Royal Albert Hall website. Questions must be submitted by 12am on 13 April.
