Jack Bazalgette – Six in Sixty

Early bird or night owl?

I don’t know what a morning looks like.

One routine you swear by?

Touring life means I have almost no routine, but I like walks!

Can’t travel without…?

Headphones

Who or what has influenced you most in your career?

My fantastic music teachers, Simon Toyne and Simon Ferris.

Favourite city and why?

London. I love almost everything about this city. The venues we work in, like the Jazz Cafe next month with Sidiki Dembele or Scala next week with Isata Kanneh-Mason, are unbeatable.

Favourite city to perform in and why?

I have always loved Amsterdam – I’m thrilled that we’re doing our first gigs there this season. The pinnacle of my short-lived and otherwise underwhelming singing career was performing a Christmas concert at the Concertgebouw.

Guilty pleasure/indulgence?

Beer? Loud music? Can’t say I feel that guilty about either though.
