Ballett Gesellschaft Hannover is inviting submissions to the 2018 International Competition for Choreographers Hanover, will which mark its 32nd edition next year.
Celebrating the work of choreographers under 35, the international jury is looking for pieces that make an imaginative use of space and time, and effectively realise an idea or concept.
Performances must last between 5 and 12 minutes, and a pre-jury will select 20 pieces from the submissions.
The 2018 jury is comprised of: Nanine Linning (Dance Company Nanine Linning / Theater Heidelberg), Marguerite Donlon (Choreographer and Artistic Director DDC), Katrín Hall (Director of Göteborgs Operans Danskompani), Adriana Pous (Director DantzaZ Dance Company).
Choreographers wil compete for a total sum of EUR13,500, as well as three production awards.
The winner of the Production Award Theater Regensburg Tanz has the opportunity to create a choreography with the dancers of the Theater Regensburg Tanz.
The winner of the Residance Award DantzaZ will have the opportunity to create a choreography with the dancers of Dantzaz.
And the winner of the Delattre Dance Company Award will present the choreography shown in the competition in a production of the Delattre Dance Company with the dancers of the DDC in Mainz.
