The International Association of Artist Managers (IAMA) has announced that David Sigall will be its honorary president for three years from 2017. Sigall has been an IAMA member for its entire history, and will step down as a member of the board at the end of 2016.
Sigall was previously president of the British Association of Concert Agents (BACA), which later rebranded as IAMA to reflect its growing international contingent – in part thanks to the work of Sigall, who encouraged an international outlook. He is the first president of IAMA since its formation in 1996.
Outside of his work at BACA and IAMA, Sigall was director of Ingpen & Williams until his retirement earlier this year. He worked as an artist manager at the company for 44 years, overseeing its growth to become an industry leader.
