Classical:NEXT, which was due to take place this May, has been postponed to 2021. Read the full statement below.
“The Netherlands have announced new measures to stop the spread of COVID-19. Among the list is the regulation that gatherings of more than 100 people are to be cancelled. This includes the closure of public places such as museums, concert venues, theatres, sports clubs and the cancellation of sports matches and other events. More information is available here.
After extended discussions with our local partner de Doelen, given the current circumstances and in the best interest of our delegates and wider community, Classical:NEXT is postponed.
Much hard work has gone into putting together the 2020 edition and so, it is with a heavy heart that we make this decision. It is only because of Classical:NEXT taking place annually that we are able to continue and bring the international art music community together every year. We will look to find the best solutions for moving forward.
All 2020 registrations will remain valid for the next edition in 2021 and we will keep you informed to the best of our ability. We ask you for your patience and your understanding as we continue to iron out the path forward. We anticipate being able to announce exact dates and location soon.
With all healthy wishes,
your Classical:NEXT team”
