Boundless Creativity in the time of COVID-19

The Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) is launching a new campaign to explore how culture can combat the impact of COVID-19. It launches with a roundtable event on 6 May.

Boundless Creativity will ask how COVID-19 could provide, “an opportunity to consider culture, content and audiences afresh, stimulate innovation in the cultural realm and reach new audiences.”

BBC arts editor Will Gompertz chairs the roundtable, which includes panellists Maria Balshaw (director of Tate galleries), Daisy Fancourt (AHRC-funded researcher at UCL), Catherine Mallyon (executive director at Royal Shakespeare Company), Andrew Thompson (AHRC executive chair) and Sean Clarke (managing director at Aardman).

The event also includes messages from Oliver Dowden (secretary of state for digital, culture, media and sport), Mary Beard, Bernardine Evaristo, Ben Okri and Fiona Shaw.

To take part in the event, please send an RSVP to Laura Steele by 9am on 6 May.
