Bach to Baby founder wins ACA award

Miaomiao Yu, founder of concert series Bach to Baby, has won an Action for Children’s Arts (ACA) award. ACA awards recognise individuals and organisations that are the ‘heroes and heroines’ of children’s arts.

Bach to Baby hosts over 40 classical music concerts for families across London and the South East every month. As well as performances from Yu (who is an award-winning concert pianist), other artists to perform at Bach to Baby events include cellist Olivia Jeremias, harpist Sally Pryce and trumpeter David McCallum.

‘At Bach to Baby we believe children can enjoy great live music from their very earliest moments,’ said Yu. ‘As a mother and pianist I see the awe and wonder in babies and young children when they hear classical instruments played by outstanding musicians for the first time at our concerts, and the joy families get from sharing great live music together.’

On 3 December Bach to Baby will partner with London Mozart Players for its first ever joint concerts at St John the Evangelist Church in London. Past Bach to Baby concerts have taken place at Buckingham Palace and the Royal Albert Hall.
