Arts Council England (ACE) has partnered with Clear Company to launch an online Recruitment and Workforce Development Toolkit which aims to enable companies to create thriving and inclusive workplaces.
Established in 2003, The Clear Company’s client list includes the likes of Lloyd’s of London, Highways England, Ofcom and PageGroup, all of whom have taken significant steps to make inclusivity happen within their respective companies.
The toolkit will support and accelerate positive changes in arts and cultural organisations, encouraging them to reflect their communities by building inclusive workplaces and recruiting and retaining diverse talent. Arts organisations, museums and libraries have been offered Clear Company HR software to enable significant research into the requirements and challenges around inclusive recruitment and talent management in the arts and cultural sector.
Adid Hussain, director of diversity at ACE, commented: “We want arts and cultural organisations to fully reflect the communities they serve; recruiting, retaining and providing career development pathways for diverse talent and fostering inclusive workplaces is a significant part of achieving this aim. I hope organisations across our National Portfolio, and the wider arts and cultural sector, can make full use of the resources and support provided on the platform to drive positive and sustainable change.”
ACE regularly funded organisations will have full access to the toolkit and have been encouraged to utilise it, all arts and cultural organisations are able to sign up in order to use the platform. The toolkit can be used for both small and large organisations at all stages in their inclusion journey.
Jen Davidson, managing consultant and Clear Assured lead, added: “This was a competitive tender and we are delighted to have been appointed by ACE. This toolkit represents a serious commitment to a diverse, innovative arts and cultural sector. By enabling each organisation to choose their own journey it provides bespoke direction and support for busy teams leading to consistent progress and achievement.”
